【英文摘要】 Many species of nitrogen fixing trees are fast growing,high biomass-producing and their stumps shoot easily. Rich in nitrogen, their leaves and sawdusts are optimum composts for edible fungi cultivation. The nitrogen fixing trees have positive effect on afforesting barren hills, conserving water and soil, and improving land fertility. So higher economic and ecological benefits could be achieved by developing nitrogen fixing trees as special purpose forest for edible fungi with short rotation term. And the general situation of research and application of Leucaena leucocephala, Acacia mearnsii,Acacia auriculiformis, Acacia dealbata, Alnus cremastogyne, Albizia falcataria, Acacia mangium et al on the cultivation of edible fungi was summarized in this paper. Nitrogen fixing trees could be grown and utilized as special purpose forest for edible fungi according to the local conditions.
